What is a Blockchain?

Think of blockchain as a digital ledger book that everyone can see, but no one can cheat.

🇬🇭 Ghana Example:

Imagine you and your friends keep track of who owes money in a shared notebook. Everyone has a copy, so no one can lie about what they owe. That's blockchain!

Key Characteristics:

  • Transparent: Everyone can see all transactions
  • Immutable: Once written, it can't be changed
  • Decentralized: No single person or bank controls it

Blockchain = Block (group of transactions) + Chain (linked together)
