What is Cryptocurrency?

Cryptocurrency is digital money that exists only on the internet. Think of it like Mobile Money, but without any single company or bank controlling it!

🇬🇭 Ghana Example:

Mobile Money: Controlled by one provider. They can set fees, limit transfers, and block accounts.

Cryptocurrency: No one controls it. You own it completely. Send anywhere, anytime, to anyone.

Key Differences from Regular Money:

1. Digital Only 💻

No physical coins or notes. Exists only as computer code.

2. Decentralized 🌍

No central bank or government controls it. It's peer-to-peer.

3. Global 🌎

Send to anyone, anywhere in the world, in minutes.

4. Limited Supply 📊

Most cryptocurrencies have a fixed maximum supply (unlike government money that can be printed infinitely).

Cryptocurrency = Crypto (encrypted/secure) + Currency (money)
